"Pan raas" is a popular flavour originated from India and has a flavouring profile consisting various herbs and spices, such as betel leaf, fennel seeds, cardamom, and mint. The flavor is known for its refreshing and cooling properties, and it is often mixed with other flavors to create unique shisha blends. Pan raas is typically associated with the pan masala, a type of chewing gum/mouth freshener commonly consumed in India and other parts of South Asia.

The quintessential brand of Pan Raas is Afzal. Afzal was the first manufacturer to introduce Pan Raas to the shisha world.  Below are some of the variations of different Pan flavours that Afzal has developed over the years.

BOMBAY PAN MASALA: a bold tone of traditional Indian betel leaf topped with the sweetness of areca nut.

COCO PAN: a heady mix of Coconut and traditional Indian Pan

GRAPE PAN TWIST: a delightfully twist with the addition of the juicy fresh grape taste and a gentle touch of mint. Recommended for mid, advanced and heavy smokers.

KESAR PAN: A spicy Pan mixed with the sublime richness of Kesar, or Saffron

PAN APPLE SPLASH: a combination of fresh and sweet apples with Indian betel leaf that gives your session a refreshing twist.

PAN TWIST: the refreshingly different taste of Indian betel leaf with a surprisingly twist that will create magic on your palate.

SWEET PAN: an extra layer of sweetness with the traditional Indian betel leaf taste.

So what’s new?

Chabacco has recent launched “dark leaf” version of the limited edition Pan Raas flavour, with a modern take on this classic flavour. It maintains the spiced aroma from the Afzal Pan Raas with a more balanced and bold aroma. We are quite surprised how closely it resembles the original Pan Raas! And the nice subtle kick of mintiness that lingers as we exhale makes the flavour a lot more pleasant and enjoyable. Definitely recommend to all advanced pan lovers!

Packing advice: Pan ras flavored shisha can be enjoyed on its own, or it can be mixed with other flavors to create unique and interesting blends. It pairs particularly well with fruity flavors like kiwi, mango and pineapple, as well as more spicy and complex flavors like cinnamon and clove. We prefer packing it with the UPG unglazed killer bowl to extract the most flavour out of it. This is the bowl we have been using for years to prepare a Pan flavoured bowl and we absolutely love how consistent the bowl performs when it comes to traditional and strong flavour like Pan Raas. but after all this is a personal preference. You may pack it with any bowl in any method you desire!

Cleaning advice: Wash the pipe immediately after the session for 2-3 minutes under cold running water to avoid aftertaste polluting the pipe!
